Parisian Legacy was inspired by the many years we lived in Normandy, France. Our home was this lovely yellow stone farmhouse dating back to 1750. I wrote much of Parisian Legacy sitting at the table in the picture below, overlooking the apple orchard.
The property was once a cider farm with a guardian’s cottage and a pressoir, where the apples were pressed. This was the setting for the d’Apidae’s Normandy estate in Parisian Legacy.
I stayed in Paris many times as a house sitter, and especially loved Montmartre. My charges were two affectionate ginger cats, one of whom inspired the cat, Cedric, in the story.
